The hearing of an election petition against South Mugirango Member of Parliament Omingo Magara continued Thursday at the Kisii high court.
Several anomalies were noted on the first day of the recount of votes.
The hearing opened with a thorough scrutiny of the ballot boxes for South Mugirango.
During the exercise several anomalies including cast votes lacking an Electoral Commission of Kenya stamp came to the fore.
Justice Daniel Musinga also observed that some valid votes were wrongly rejected.
Manson Oyongo Nyamweya, who lost the South Mugirango parliamentary seat in the last General Election, filed the petition against trade assistant Minister Omingo Magara, Returning Officer Joseph Sang'anyi Omambia, and ECK.
Magara lost his bid to have the election petition against him quashed last month as the
Court in Kisii ruled that it would proceed with the hearings.
It is the second petition to go a full trial after Joel Onyancha lost his Bomachoge parliamentary seat last year in a case filed before Justice Musinga
