THREE suspects believed to be behind a spate of robberies in Kisii have been charged.

Peter Muhoho, Dominic Kilauli and Maurice Mutambi yesterday denied robbery with violence. The Kisii court heard that on February 11 they robbed Peter Adede of Sh5,000 while armed with a pistol at Migori-Kisumu junction.

Later on February 12, they allegedly violently robbed Julius Ombaba of Sh141',500 and a mobile phone worth Sh6,000 in Keroka town. And on February 24, they allegedly robbed Simeon Njuguna of Sh40,900 at Daraja Moja in Kisii. They denied the three counts.

Kisii chief magistrate Maxwell Gicheru sent them back to custody until tomorrow when their case will be mentioned.
