Some primary school committee officials attacked a councillor after they differed on whether or not to renovate condemned classrooms. Councillor Henry Nyang’aya said he had gone to Ekoro Primary School with a contractor to witness the start of renovation of condemned classrooms. Mr Nyang’aya claimed his attackers were unhappy that Sh560,795 donated by Nyamira county council for the renovation would not pass through their hands.
