On Sunday, carjackers attacked Bonchari MP Charles Onyancha and robbed him of his licensed gun, Sh50,000, and his Toyota Land Cruiser.

The vehicle had not been recovered by Tuesday.

The gangsters, who were in two vehicles, accosted the MP in Nairobi West, before heading to Hazina Estate, South B, where they forced him into a stolen Mercedes Benz. They held him for hours before abandoning him in Gachie, Kiambu.

A gangster was shot dead and his two accomplices arrested in a shootout with police in Umoja 1 estate on Monday night.
