Meanwhile, six MPs from the Kisii community have warned of a serious constitutional crisis if parliament fails to adopt the two constitutional bills currently pending before it within this week.
Led by cabinet ministers, Prof.Sam Ongeri and Chris Obure, the legislators said parliament faces dissolution if it fails to approve nominees to the Constitutional Implementation Commission and Revenue Allocation Commission this week.
Speaking during a fundraiser for Green Valley SDA church in Borabu district, Ongeri asked his fellow MPs to stop put aside their political differences to avert the looming constitutional crisis.
He said once the two crucial constitutional bills have been passed, they will pave way for the much awaited reforms.
Assistant ministers, James Gesami (Health) and Wilfred Ombui (Heritage), said Kenyans wanted the speedy implementation of the new constitution.
They noted that if they fail in their mandate, then they could face the wrath of Kenyans and history will judge them harshly. Others who spoke were MPs Walter Nyambati (Kitutu Masaba) and Robert Monda (Nyaribari Chache)
