Borabu war on rustling praised

The government has been thanked for containing cattle rustling along the Borabu/Sotik boundary. Local leaders said in the last three weeks, no rustling incidents had been reported in Borabu district. “We are now sleeping but I’m asking the government not to rest because the rustlers may be planning more raids,” said Ensakia ward civic leader Dennis Rosana.
        Borabu DC Mohammed Noor said many rustlers had been arrested in Sotik and Borabu.He added the suspects had been charged with various offences including robbery with violence.
       The DC said 13 suspects were arrested in Nandi, Chepalungu and others in Borabu. They were charged and bonded to keep peace for a period of one year.“We are keeping a close watch on the arrested suspects because we now know that they were behind the rustling,” added Noor.
