Shabana Start Off Campaign With Wins

Gusii Shabana opened their campaign for promotion to the Kenya Premier League on a high note after recording two home wins over the weekend.
On Saturday Shabana beat Nairobi Stima 2-0 and recorded a similar win against Mathare Youth a day at Gusii stadium. In the game against Stima, new signings Andrew Isemeki and Paul Anunda scored two quick goals in the 81st and 83rd minutes to give Shabana deserved victory before a capacity crowd.
Isemeki, a new signing from Bidco, headed home from a corner before Anunda formerly of Thika United hit the second from outside the box.
On Sunday, Chris Machuka and Paul Brandy scored for the home team in the 28th and 45th minutes. Machuka, who is the skipper of the team slotted home a penalty before Brandy headed home Isemeki's cross.
Shabana coach Rashid Omar expressed his satisfaction with the weekend results. "I'm happy with the wins. We have won the first two games and we want to maintain the tempo," he added.The former international added: "We want to win all our home matches as we target promotion to the Kenya Premier League."
