Olympic champion Asbel Kiprop played second fiddle in his specialty at the third athletics Kenya championship in Kisii. Nick Chepseba stormed to victory in the race as Kiprop and former 800m champion Alfred Kirwa came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Irene Jelagat won the 1500m while Consolata Chemutai won the 10,000m as the curtain came down on the championship.
