Nyamira call by professionals

A lawyer from Nyamira yesterday asked elected leaders in the County to involve professionals in drawing a blueprint that will help fast track development in the area.

Leading other professionals, Kennedy Mong’are Okong’o said MPs were sidelining them in coming up with strategies for ensuring the county does not lag behind once funds are released to run the new units.

 Speaking in Nyamira Catholic Church over the weekend, Okong’o said some counties had already come up with plans, and expressed fear that Nyamira will be left behind due to dissonance among the stakeholders. “The county will only flourish if professionals are involved,” Okong’o said.

 Differences have emerged in the county with some leaders proposing that the headquarters be at Nyamira town while others say it should be in Eronge area, Borabu district.
