Student Gives Birth to Triplets

A Form Two student gave birth to triplets in Nyamira County over the weekend. The 16-year-old girl delivered the three baby boys, whom she named Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego, at a private clinic in Mosobeti market before she was transferred to Nyamira district hospital.

The girl said the father of the babies was a local tailor who had since refused to take responsibility. Her mother, who is a single parent, appealed to wellwishers to assist her in bringing up the children.

She said her daughter's behaviour should serve as a lesson to other teens who should pay attention to their education instead of engaging in early sex.
