MP Nyamweya tells PLO to shut up and act

AN MP yesterday accused KACC boss PLO Lumumba of incompetence and told him to shut up. South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya told reporters in Parliament Kenyans are unhappy with Lumumba's rhetoric and eloquence which is not backed by tangible action.

Nyamweya reminded Lumumba Kenyans are still waiting for a promise he made that four ministers, he was investigating, would be prosecuted in four weeks, but nothing has been done. “This man is talking too much and doing so little. I have come here to announce that now it is confirmed this man is incompetent. He must know we are not paying him to talk,” Nyamweya. He took on Lumumba over his recent calls to have Education Minister Sam Ongeri and his PS James Kiyiapi forced to resign.

While calling for the resignation of Ongeri and Kiyiapi, Lumumba said: “The minister and the PS should resign, and if they fail to do so they should be sacked.”

Yesterday the MP told the KACC boss to resign because he had failed to fight graft. “Graft is not about good language, it is real war. I am shocked about PLO’s outbursts at a press conference, what does this mean or may be he wanted the minister and the PS to go and see him,” Nyamweya joked. Nyamweya said will not support Ongeri if found culpable in the scandal in which the ministry lost Sh4.2 billion to fraudsters.
