Sameta to represent Gucha in Nyanza schools finals

Sameta Boys High School emerged champions in the Gucha Region secondary schools soccer competitions that were staged at the Nyachogochogo sports grounds.Sameta narrowly edged out Keberesi Secondary School 1-0 in a tightly contested final.

Striker Dennis Nyangaresi scored the all-important goal enabling Sameta to sail through to the Nyanza Provincial finals to be played at Cardinal Otunga High School in Mosocho this week.Sameta boys beat defending champions Tendere Secondary School at the district level. 
In leg ball, Sengera Girls High School emerged victors after beating Ekeonga Secondary School 3-2 in post match penalties.Sengera Girls also defended their volleyball trophy by beating Nyaibate Secondary by three straight sets.

In Boys Volleyball, Nyoera Secondary was crowned champions after beating Sengera SDA by three sets to two in a close contest. Regional Secondary School Sports Association chairman Madaraka Nyakweba said the provincial finals would begin on Tuesday and end on Saturday this week.
