Mumias to give Kisii Golf Course a face-lift

MUMIAS Sugar Company will to sponsor the re-development of the Kisii Golf Course. Club captain David Omato welcomed the gesture from the company, saying it will go a long way to make even better. “We have come from far and the course is improving day in day out. We want to make it completely professional and we really appreciate Mumias’ move to sponsor the renovations,” said Omato.

Mumias Sugar Company finance director Peter Kebati pledged to sponsor the redevelopment of the course. “We are going to sponsor marking of holes, numbering the holes, marking of distance and difficulties,” Kebati announced.

He also said the company will purchase a lawn mower for the club. Kebati praised the course saying: “I’m happy with the course’s fairways, greens and tees. However, we are going to sponsor the improvement of the course,” Kebati said. He said professional golfer Dismas Indiza who is based in Kakamega assist in marking the distances.
