Nyamira wins award

Four university students who initiated the One Hen Campaign Project in Nyamira have won an award in the ongoing Global Climate Change talks in Durban, South Africa sponsored by the United Nations and World Bank. The project won the second prize out of 700 entries exhibited in the Agriculture category for the 18-24 age group after they submitted a photograph to the Connect4Climate Team on how they can contribute to alleviate global warming. The youth working under the umbrella of the Innovative Empowerment Programme submitted a photo with a traditional chicken cage and the modern one made of 90 percent wire mesh.
