A Nyamira civic leader has said a recent attack by armed thugs at his business premises was political. Nyamira County Council Chairman Alfayo Ngeresa is embroiled in petition case. He said the attackers were out to eliminate him. “It is very clear they were out to eliminate me and they confirmed the same,” said Ngeresa. Speaking to the press at Chepilat shopping centre on the Sotik/Borabu districts boundary, Ngeresa said he gave the thugs Sh800,000 to save his life. “They knew me well and said they had been given Sh400,000,” said Ngeresa.
