THE National Environment Management Authority warned of people using the authority’s name to harass residents over noise pollution in Kisii County. Kisii Central District Environment Officer Samson Bokea said the masqueraders were using Nema's name to even con unsuspecting people. Speaking to the Star on phone, Bokea said: “I have received protests from several people that our personnel are demanding for money from them. I want to warn Kisii residents to be wary of such individuals.” He said for last two months, his office has such received complaints from Tabaka, Ogembo, Keroka and Nyamira towns.
