Mosocho candidates warn voters against tainted aspirants

TWO  candidates for the newly created Mosocho constituency in the Kisii  County have asked voters in the area to start vetting leaders who  are interested in various seats come the next general elections to avoid making wrong choices in the ballot box.

The candidates Kebati Osoro and Leo Matundura said that this is the right time wananchi should check one’s development track record and behavior to match with the new constitution because majority of them risk being barred at the eleventh hour.  

They were speaking Bonyagatanyi sub-location, Nyakoe location in Kisii central district during the burial of mzee Stephen Matara Nyamari who died after short illness.

The funeral was also attended by Ambassador Charles Mbaka, Prof. Joseph  Nyasani and former Kisii deputy mayor Pius Abuki among others.

Kebati who also an accountant by profession said that he had offered himself for the area’s parliamentary seat come the next general elections to  team up with wananchi in finding a solution to the many problems facing  the area which range from poor infrastructure, low academic standards  and agriculture among others.  

In his speech, Matundura challenged stakeholders in the education sector  to join hands and address the declining education standards in the area so that they can adequately prepare the youth for a bright future
