‘Madman’ shot in Nyamira

A thug who has been masquerading as a madman was gunned down by police in Nyamira county at the weekend. Eric Mboya alias Boy was shot by police as he attempted to break into a shop in Nyamira town. Nyamira OCPD, Shadrack Maithya said the 22-year-old man was in the company of four others who escaped during the 3am incident. Earlier, the gang stole construction material before it proceeded to terrorise town residents. A watchman at the building site said the gang ordered him not to raise the alarm or else he would be killed.
