Former assistant ministers Dr. Hezron Manduku and Jimmy Angwenyi have won Ford-people nominations in Kisii by wide margins.

Manduku polled 9,254 against Eldoret based lawyer Alfred Nyairo's 1,253 in Nyaribari Masaba. Others were O M Oguku 717, Elijah Moindi 638, Nyakoe Nyakoe 450, Mary Michieka 365, and Kennedy Ombati 303.

In Kitutu Chache, Angwenyi registered a thunderous victory of 37,052 against retired teacher Richard Mongare's 894. Abuya Angweny trailed with 487.

In Bonchari, the counting was postponed until today in the battle between outgoing MP Zebedeo Opore and John Mochama.

Nyaribari Chache has Simeon Nyachae who went in unoppossed on a Ford-people ticket.

However, several civic nominations in Kisii Central were postponed to today due to logistical problems.
