Shabana Pick Interim Officers to Run Affairs Until Polls

Kisii based Premier League side Shabana FC have elected interim officials to run the club until elections are held.

John Matonda is the interim chairman while club founder Dogo Khan is the senior vice chairman. Storm Hotel proprietor Shem Machoka is the first vice chairman.

Henry Nyabuto is the second vice chairman. Others are Peter Omwando (secretary general) David Nyambati (assistant secretary), James Onwong'a (treasurer), Charles Ombuna (assistant treasurer) and broadcaster Fred Obachi Machoka (public relations officer). Committee members are J. Miyienda and Steve Maronga. Energy Minister Simeon Nyachae was retained as the club patron while former KFF secretary general Sam Nyamweya is his deputy.

Rashid Omar was maintained as the player/coach while veteran midfielder Anthony Luziki is his deputy. Nicholas Anyuga was also retained as team manager with former international midfielder Richard Otambo as his deputy.

Danish coach Flemming Jacobsen is the new technical advisor. The club starts training on Monday at Gusii Stadium according to Omar.
