DC brings chief to order over MP's meeting

The Bomanyanya assistant chief, Mr. Francis Manyansa, ordered guests who attended the function to raise funds for Boraya Youth Group in Nyabite to disperse, prompting the MP and civic leaders Charles Sagwe and John Maore to protest to the DC.
After consultations in his office, the DC gave the group a letter authorising them to continue with the function.
When cancelling the meeting, the assistant chief said he would not allow it to go on because there was a row among members. But the youth group leader, Mr. James Otindi, denied there was wrangling among members. Later, Mr. Obwocha condemned the move by the chief.
Mr. Obwocha helped raise Sh66,000 with a personal donation of Sh10,000, Cllr Sagwe Sh3,000 and Cllr Maore Sh2,000.
