In Kisii, former secondary schools soccer giants Itierio Mixed upset Kisii district secondary schools champions Nyamagwa SDA 1-0 to qualify to the semi-finals

Perminus Ombati scored from a rebound. Hosts Kisii School narrowly edged out Birongo 1-0 in another quarter-final match with David Nyariki scoring the crucial goal in the 19th minute.

The last semi-final berth went to Gesero after an epic duel against Amabuko which Gesero won 2-1.

In the girls’ contest, Kisii district queens Mosisa hit Suneka 3-1 to qualify to the semis.

Evelyn Onchiri struck thrice while Teresa Nyabaro replied for Suneka through a penalty. Itierio Mixed also qualified to the semis.
