Six Held Over Kisii Catholic Church Fracas

Police in Kisii had by yesterday afternoon arrested six people over Sunday's bloody violence at Bogiakomu Catholic Church.

Meanwhile, area police boss, Mr Anderson Wambugu, told journalists they will summon Bonchari MP, Mr Zebedeo Opore, and his rival, Charles Onyancha, over the spate of political violence in the constituency.

Kisii Catholic Diocese Vicar General, Father Pancras Chuma Mogaka, who led a team of officials to the area DC, Mr Osman Warfa's office for consultations condemned the incident which left two people killed and several others injured.

Meanwhile, police yesterday identified the four people who were lynched at Riana area in the constituency as: Jane Kerubo Ouru (30), her son Simon Ouru (17) and their visitors, Joyce Bosibori (48) and Thomas Obare (28).
