This conspiracy against the Kanu national chairman must stop forthwith as it is meant to draw a curtain between the electorate and Mr Kenyatta so as to achieve certain political results when he will approach our people for their vote.
The Kisii community might conclude that Uhuru has abandoned the people whereas it is our leaders who do not invite him to such functions.
Many such functions have taken place in the past with other Kanu officials from outside the districts attending. The two recent functions I have in mind are when Mr William Ruto, who has already declared his presidential candidature, attended a harambee in Nyamira recently. In this function, there was no mention of the Kanu national chairman's name.
I appeal to the Abagusii to be wary of such leaders who are shielding national leaders from meeting them.
The Abagusii are intelligent and I trust and know that they will make the right decision at the right time.
In fact, the Abagusii are like Israelis; they are few, and yet no government can do without them.
Since Uhuru was elected Kanu chairman, he has shared the concerns of all Kenyans.
My views is that Uhuru is magnanimous and he would be more than willing to participate in functions in any part of the country if he is invited.
So the next time Abagusii leaders have a function, in the spirit of fairness, they should also invite Mr Kenyatta.
