About 1,000 students streamed into the town to celebrate the good results that saw the school take position 64 nationally.
In the previous year, all the 197 candidates who sat for their exams at the school had their results cancelled.
The Principal, Edward Onwonga, expressed satisfaction with the results.
"Our boys would have done much better were it not for fear of what had happened the previous year," he said. Majority of the best students were those whose results were cancelled last year, but opted to repeat. Parents joined the students in the celebrations that brought business to a standstill in Kisii town.
Kisii School alumni, Cabinet minister Henry Obwocha and former PS, James Ongwae, said they were pleased with the school's performance.
"We are happy that despite what happened the previous year this has been rectified through the results posted this year," said Obwocha.
