Nyamira Technical School basketball team beat hosts Cardinal Otunga High 38-30 during the schools annual sports festival over the weekend.Nyamira led 23-18 at half time.


Nyansiongo drubbed Sameta 37-19, Kisii School hit Sori 38-16, Cardinal fresh from their defeat by Nyamira, recovered to beat St Paul's TTC 57-15, while Migori TTC beat a hapless Nyansabakwa 41-07.In girls' basketball, Migori TTC beat Nyabururu High 26-09 in an entertaining match.In boys' hockey, Cardinal Otunga thumped Nyansiongo High 6-0 in a one-sided match.F Mandieka, G Maragia and S Aroni scored two goals each.Migori TTC hit Kisii High 6-2 with Hillary Ruto scoring thrice, while David Ochieng, Charles Mumo and Nelson Makwata added one apiece in other matches.

In girls' hockey, Edna Nyamosi and Ann Cherop scored as Migori TTC beat Nyabururu 2-0.In rugby, Cardinal 'A' hit Nyabondo High 31-05, Cardinal 'B' beat Sameta 27-05 while Nyabondo lost 12-17 to Kisii High.In boys' volleyball, Sori beat Sameta 3-1, Migori TTC hit Nyabondo 3-0 while St Paul's TTC hit Cardinal 3-1.In girl's volleyball, Migori beat Nyabururu 3-0, St Paul's TTC beat Sori 3-0 while Nyabururu beat Keberesi 3-0.
