Anyona to Be Buried On Dec 5

Former Kitutu Masaba MP George Anyona will be buried at Gatuta village in Nyamira on December 5. The announcement was made yesterday by Mr Njeru Kathangu, the national funeral committee chairman.

The committee requested the Commissioner of Police, Mr Edwin Nyaseda, to provide security during public viewing, requiem mass and burial in Nairobi, Kisii and Nyamira.
A fundraising will be held at Six Eighty Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday from 5.30 pm followed by viewing of the body at Lee Funeral Home on December 2 from 8am to 4pm. There will be a requiem mass on December 3 from 9 to 11am at Railways Club, Nairobi, after which the body will be flown the same day from Wilson Airport to Suneka Airstrip in Kisii.

The body will then be transported by road to Gusii stadium for public viewing from 12.30 to 3.30 pm after which it will be taken to Nyamira stadium up to 5.30pm. Prayers, speeches and viewing of the body will continue at Mr Anyona's home until burial service on December 5 from 10am.
