Love rivals cut man's genitals

A quarrel over a woman turned near-fatal in Nyamira District when the genitals of a man aged 32 were chopped off by his rivals.

The father of three was attacked in a bar at Nyamakoroto market in Rigoma Division following a disagreement over a barmaid last Saturday.

Police from Keroka police station who were on patrol came to the rescue and rushed the victim to a private hospital in Keroka town where he was attended to before he was referred to Kisii General Hospital.

Keroka police boss Evans Wanyonyi said the man was attacked in revenge for seducing the barmaid whom his rivals had earlier bought beer. Wanyonyi said the attackers used sharp objects in chopping off the victim's organ.
