Officer bans night meetings in Nyamira

The provincial administration in Nyamira District has banned night church and political meetings following escalating thuggery in the area. District Officer Kenneth Ogosia said such meetings were exposing participants to attacks by thugs on their way home.

He advised those wishing to convene religious crusades to procedurally seek permission from the police and conduct them between 8 am and 6 pm.The Nyamaiya DO was speaking at Nyansangio Health Centre during a fund-raiser for the construction of the facility.
