At an inter-branch meeting held in Nairobi, delegates from 10 supporters' branches resolved to recognise the duo's dedication in serving the club and to urge them to reverse their decision. Nyaberi and Dogo Khan announced their joint resignation last week citing "other pressing commitments" as the main reason for their move to quit.
But in a statement signed by six of the delegates who attended the meeting chaired by the Nairobi branch secretary Evans Kibagendi, the branches made it clear they did not accept or recognise the interim committee headed by a Ombori and insisted on having Nyaberi and Dogo Khan back in the fold.
The branches appealed to the Kenya Football Federation to give the club a three-week break to sort themselves out and consider transferring their Premiership matches back to the Gusii Stadium, Kisii.
They said they appreciated the assistance the KFF had accorded them during these difficult and trying times.
They agreed to give Nyaberi a free hand to run the club , look for sponsorship and recruit new players for the team.
They endorsed the re-engagement of coach Fleming Jacobson for the 2001 season now in progress.
Apart from Kibagendi, other signatories to the statement were Richard Omenge (Nairobi branch boss), Oscar Masese (branch vice-chairman), Wilfred Riage (another city delegate) and two representatives from Mombasa, John Monari and Duncan Kibagendi.
Shabana has had a high turn over of officials since chairman Joseph Matundura was forced to stand down last year.
