Soft drinks contaminated with suspended particles

The drift by the Public Health Officers in Kisii Central District on consumer food inspection is reaping consumer challenges. The Kisii Central District Public Health Officer, Francis Makau now wants consumers to report cases of contaminated food.
On Sunday, two bottles of soft drink were confiscated containing noticeable suspended particles. The drinks that were to be distributed to retailers for public consumption were fortunately intercepted.
The company responsible, Kisii Bottlers, admits a possibility of particles in the drinks getting by undetected by the machines and staff.The company is however determined not to assemble the blame, the company officials are treating the incidence as an isolated case.
However, the company is investigating possibilities of bottles being tampered with.
