Mr Thomas Abuga Moriasi, a former tea factory director accused of stealing factory documents worth Sh190,076 has been acquitted. He was set free by a Keroka court for lack of evidence.

He had been accused of stealing a cash book, allocation book and payroll sheet from Kebirigo Tea Factory in Nyamira District on May 12, last year. Two men who pleaded guilty to harvesting forest products without a permit were yesterday handed a six month jail term each without an option of fine.
