Five people, three of them brothers, are killed under mysterious circumstances

Three brothers and their two nephews from Kiogoro division, Kisii central district have been murdered under mysterious circumstances that has caused fear among area residents. Witnesses say the five were abducted Wednesday night from their Nyamonema home by a gang and frog marched to the adjacent Gucha district where they were allegedly hacked to death.

Residents who requested anonymity narrated how the gang stormed the home of the deceased and roughed them up. Speaking at the scene where the bodies were found, Gucha District Commissioner Joseph Rotich said the matter is under investigations and urged wananchi with information to volunteer.

The incidents of lynching suspects have become common in the area prompting the provincial administration to intensify partnership with the local community under community policing to curb insecurity.
