Anyona Party Gets New Boss

The seat fell vacant following the death of founder chairman George Anyona late last year in a road accident.
The party's secretary general, Mr Japheth Otuke said Nyaribari was elected during the party's national executive council meeting held at a Nairobi hotel.
Otuke said Andrew Nyangaresi was also elected the party's vice chairman, Joshiah Nyawachi assistant secretary general, Tom Aburi organising secretary, Kengere Mose Assistant Organising Secretary while Anuari Eshmael was elected the party's national treasurer.
Otuke said the steering committee will be on acting capacity pending elections.
Otuke asked the Kisii community to support the party as a show of respect to the late Kitutu Masaba MP.
Otuke disclosed that the party's national governing council would meet on August 14 to deliberate on a pending recruitment exercise before setting the date for the party's elections.
