Party chief whip Henry Obwocha yesterday told the MPs to reconsider their membership in Ford-P if they did not drop their hard-line stance.
Mr Obwocha said: "All Ford-P MPs were involved in the consultation before we were offered three government posts. Those who have now turned round and refused to cross over to the Government side in Parliament are liars."
Ford-P MPs Mwandawiro Mganga, Stephen Manoti, Gonzi Rai and Omingo Magara last week declined to cross over with their other party members to the Government side, following the inclusion of Ford-P in the Government in the recent Cabinet reshuffle, where its leader Simeon Nyachae was appointed Energy minister.
The West Mugirango MP, who was appointed assistant minister for Financial Management, said President Kibaki was wise in forming a Government of National Unity because it could lower political temperature within the ruling coalition.
He told official Opposition leader Uhuru Kenyatta to stop complaining that Kanu was not consulted before some of its MPs were appointed into the Cabinet.
He was speaking to reporters after presenting a public address system worth Sh40,000 to Makairo civil servants choir and a wheelchair to Master Omwenga, a primary school pupil, in the constituency.
And while addressing the Press at Kisii Town, Mr Obwocha scoffed at the Liberal Democratic Party's criticism of their party leaders' inclusion in the Government.
