Youths Invade Ongeri Meeting

There was drama when Ford-People youth invaded Kiamokama market in Kisii district where Cabinet Minister Prof. Sam Ongeri was launching the Nyaribari Masaba AIDS control committee.

There was however no ugly incident as the minister, who is also the area MP, restrained Kanu supporters and youths from responding to their rivals who were also brandishing Ford-People flags.

The launch of the Nyaribari Masaba AIDS committee was also attended and addressed by the committee chairman Timothy Omato, his deputy John Mariaria, and treasurer Yuvinalis Mokaya. They advised the locals to abstain from irresponsible sex.

"What Nyaribari Masaba people and Kisiis want is development such as this campaign against the HIV/AIDS pandemic and not confrontations, " Ongeri stated. He however charged that the law will take its course against law breakers.
