Kanu, Ford-P Members Clash

Kanu and Ford-People officials in Nyamira District on Friday clashed over Simon Nyachae's quest for presidency during a burial ceremony.

Kitutu Masaba Ford-K chairman, Mr Walter Nyambati, had told mourners to reject the Kanu Government in the next General Election by electing Nyachae for presidency.

Nyambati further said that Kanu was to blame for the economic and political woes that the Kisii community was facing.

When Kanu leaders led by councillors Peterson Awata and Hellen Nyakundi were given a chance to address the mourners, they told the Ford-People officials to stop dreaming that Nyachae will be a president in this country.

Councillor Awata, who is also the chairman of Nyamira County Council said Nyachae was part of the system that messed up with the country's economy when he was in the Government.

He told the charged mourners to reject political opportunists.
