Kanu MPs Blasted Over Majimboism

Nine opposition Members of Parliament from the Kisii community today dismissed their Kanu counterparts who are crusading for Majimboism.

The MPs all elected on Ford-People ticket branded the legislators as tribalists and enemies of the country's unity.

The MPs led by the West Mugirango MP Henry Obwocha asked Kenyans to ignore those crusading for the Federal system of government.

Obwocha told the Kanu MPs to accept that their party lost the presidency in the last General Election and should therefore support the Narc government which won.

They said that it was unfortunate that some senior Kanu politicians from Rift Valley had accepted to be misled by the Bomet MP Nick Salat who has no political experience and does not understand the problems facing the country.

The MPs were speaking at various market centres in Kitutu Masaba constituency when they toured the area to thank voters for voting them on a Ford-People ticket.

The Kitutu Masaba MP Mwancha Okioma asked Kenyans to stand firm and reject those who want to create animosity like in 1992 when there were clashes.

They said Kenyans should be free to stay and work anywhere unlike what the Kanu MPs from Rift Valley were preaching.

Other MPs included Jimmy Angwenyi, Zebedeo Opore, Hezron Manduku, Stephen Manoti and Joel Onyancha.
