Gusii in gear to elect mayor

In Kisii Town, two former mayors from PNU affiliated parties are gunning for the mayor’s seat. Youthful Sam Nyangeso of Narc Kenya is facing veteran councillor Wilfred Monyenye of Ford People. Others who have declared interest in the seat include former mayor Samuel Omwando of ODM, Patrick Siro of Ford People and Jane Justine of Mazingira Party.

Ford-P councillors in Nyasiongo town council have failed to take advantage of their majority to pick a candidate for council chairman. Those eyeing the chairmanship’s seat are Mr Dennis Rosana of KSC, Mr Zepedeo Ombwori of Ford-P, Mr Onsare Osoro also of Ford-P and Mr Orina Ogamba of ODM.At Nyamira county council, the chairmanship has attracted councillors Alfayo Ngeresa of Kenya National Congress (KSC), Charles Aumbi (ODM) and Andrew Magangi of Commonwealth Party of Kenya.
