In Kisii, allegations of massive rigging dominated the hearing of a petition in which two poll losers are challenging the election of Joel Onyancha as the MP for Bomachoge.

Not counted

The petitioners allege that there was massive rigging in the elections as results from 28 polling centres were not only counted, but also not part of the final results.

Mr Simon Ogari and Mr Zephaniah Nyang’wara, who were testifying before Kisii High Court judge Justice D.K. Musinga, want the court to order a recount of the votes cast in the constituency. The hearing continues.
