Nyamira Girl, 15, commits suicide over love affair gone sour

A love affair between a shopkeeper and a student ended tragically when the girl killed herself.  The Form One student at a local secondary school took her life after realising that the man was having an affair with another girl. The 15-year-old girl is alleged to have drunk a bottle of poison at the trader’s shop.

She died while undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Yesterday, a nominated councillor from the area called for the arrest of the shopkeeper.
