The Imposed KACA Chairman Must Stay Away From That Post

KACA (Kenya American Community Association) is now serving the selfish interests of the few who want to be at the top without seeking the mandate from the people. Hand picking leaders in what is projected as a non profit organization is a mere cow dung affair. Engage the rules of the constitution than the physical appearance notion.

Kenyans understand that most of those who were elected have resigned. The three legitimate officials remaining now are Jonah Onditi, Douglas Bonuke and Hellen Nyamiaka. The three officials were officially sworn into office when they were elected. Boaz Barasa has also resigned leaving a big heap of one tribe, almost same constituency and all from one Church. What a mess?

Mr. Richard Maburi was serving as an electoral commissioner during KACA elections; he is the Chairman of KEA (Kenya Emergency Association) affiliated and founded by KACA and now he has imposed himself as the Chairman/president of KACA undermining the KACA constitution. He was not sworn into office, he was not elected, but he has been declared Chairman. This must stop now! There is no constitution that empowers three officials to nominate a chairman; a chairman is the head of the organization and has to be elected. The best way for you is to monopolize taking us back to the dark hours of this leadership and killing the morale and Kenyan interests.

The best Mr. Richard Maburi can do is to refuse to take up the position of imposition as he is not sworn into office yet. Small dictators are worse than military dictators because they reflect a bad example to the developing world. We need to enlighten and educate ourselves on the roles and importance of civics. Leadership is not centered on people of one constituency in Kenya, one tribe and one Church. We ask for a better reflection than this diaper mess.

Mr. Richard Maburi should step down now for the sake of the unity and transparency between KEA and KACA. Any Kenyan could feel proud if officially elected as Chair than announced as Chair. Kenyans are bitter about this latest twist in KACA. History tells us of the abuses in Harambee Kenya and Kenya Umoja Association now KACA.

Mr. Richard Maburi was not officially elected and sworn into office. To be kind enough Maburi should step aside from KACA which is entitled to do elections for transparency reasons to show responsibility as a non profit organization. Mr. Maburi cannot hold Chairmanship of two entities affiliated to each other. Leadership is not dollar notes and coins that one picks which pocket to put. It is very disturbing to note that KACA officials go to one Church and have now with impunity nominated Richard Maburi who also goes to the same Church. There is some sort of abuse coupled with short sightedness.

The message every Kenyans is saying is that Mr. Maburi should stay away from this dirty and selfish monopoly. If some people want trash cans for leadership let them continue to impose themselves as leaders instead of seeking a mandate from the public. It has come to the point where we need to borrow for some people a spoonful of brain matter so as to make their minds applicable to modern reasoning.

When did Kenyans in New Jersey become trash that they are carried to the garbage collection and removed there? Today the call is for those who think they are better leaders to refrain and rethink their impregnation of leadership within their circle. The Kenyan entity should not be lead by people from one constituency. That circle! Our circle! The hope we have is to have them realize that we are not in dictation class of Spanish grammar school or toilet manners school.

Since a large number of officials have resigned, the remaining officials should call for elections after a general meeting to decide which way next. Richard Maburi should by now realize the importance of a community organization that needs a mandate to lead than being appointed at a restaurant. It is wise to be elected than to be imposed. Election is unavoidable as almost the whole herd of the elected has decamped; Yet we have those who claim to follow the constitution which is not true and harmful to the organization.

KACA is based in New Jersey USA.
