Shabana Return to Winning Ways

GUSII Shabana continued with their recovery in the Nationwide Division One League after an impressive 3-0 win over visiting Administration Police at Gusii Stadium. Former Thika United striker Paul Anunda struck twice for the hosts in the 7th and 58th minutes while Eric Mageka wrapped up the scores in the 89th minute. "Last weekend, we beat Bidco 1-0 in Thika and we hope to continue with our winning ways when we face Agro Chemical in Chemelil on Saturday," said coach Rashid Omar, adding : "We have woken up from a slumber and we hope to continue winning. We realise Division One standards are so high but we must pull up our socks."

He said they intend to sign eight experienced players when the transfer window opens next month. "We want to sign three defenders, two midfielders, two strikers and a goal keeper. We will also drop five players for under-performance," added the coach. In the Nationwide Division Two zone 'A' Tabaka FC defeated MUSCO Midika FC 2-1 at Tabaka playground.
