The national secondary schools' second term games will start today in Kisii Town. Competition will be in athletics, rugby football and handball. According to one of the organisers, Omondi Otieno of Moi High School Kabarak, athletics will be at the Gusii Stadium while handball and rugby will be held at Kisii High School. In rugby, defending champions are Kakamega High School and in girls' handball Itigo Girls are the reigning champions. In the boys' category Musingu High of Western Province will defend the crown. The week-long event which will bring together more than 1,000 students and their teachers from all over the country will end on Saturday.
