That’s what all Kenyan Big Brother viewers were hoping for when Sheila Kwamboka was chosen to be the Kenyan rep in the BBA 3 House. After all, we had had two disasters, prior to Sheila. First, Alex Holi, then the bombastic mushroom novelist Jeff Anthony whose awkward personality was just plain embarrassing to watch, and painful if you were a Kenyan.
So it was with great expectations that we saw Sheila Kwamboka get into that House in mid-August, two months ago. After all, Sheila was a tall, bubbly, sassy, sexy, six foot tall damsel, and lady-like in demeanour as she sashayed into that House (even though she had been booted out of being Miss Tourism in another lifetime, as well as blabbered way early that she was BBA 3 rep for the country). The true Sheila came out two seconds after she got into BBA 3.
"I intend to win by sleeping with every guy, then every gal in the house. Who are cha gonna have sex with?" she asked the others.
Shocked we were, but we also waited to see the fireworks. Alas! After a week of drinking and just being LOUD. In fact, she turned into this indolent and insolent lass.
Sheila Kwamboka
Her romance with Takwonda (is that the name of an anaconda that does taekwondo?) was as tired as it was tepid, and was in fact the immediate cause of the fall of Sheila Kwamboka.
"What did I do?" she wailed a la Kivuitu, as she came out of the House.
Technically, Sheila, you did sh** — Hazel had an edge as she works hard in the House, while Tawana, the other possibility for eviction, doesn’t swear (although her shrill voice is mighty irritating).
So Sheila carried her boyfriend’s cross, right out of the House, and no one but TK was sorry to see her go.
Personally, I was cross that she chose to drape Kenya flag over her shoulders like a superwoman’s cape — because of what her cursing self shows Kenyan women to be.
‘Telling it like it is’ is a piece like this, not taking the piss out of everyone’s pot with swear words! Sheila admitted, on continental TV, that she "bums" around. My advice in Ki-Kisii isi, after your eviction party on Sunday, Kwamboka, ‘aye soa nyomba’ (you get into your house). And keep bumming around. Sheila did jack for Kenyan mamas’ image in the BBA 3.
