It is intriguing to find our leaders drive in reverse. We all appreciate the democratic rights enjoyed in Kenya but wonder why some people have not seen the light beyond a village. It was a shame for a brilliant person to ask waheshimiwa to undertake the idea of giving people in Nyaribari Chache handouts. Instead of thinking nationally we have the village thing in us that never sets us free. How can people be held hostage by such thoughts that they only think about self gratification yet they claim to be national representatives? When Kenyans voted Nyachae out they understood the need for change and for us to ignore the wind of change is a joke. The new MP for Nyaribari Chache Dr Monda is very well informed and knows what his people who voted for him want. Dr Monda was not voted to continue with the Nyachae legacy, He stands for change and with time he might deliver. I was not amused with one who asked for an airport in Kisii. Who are the people going to make use of the airport is it those who go home once every five years or those that go home three times a year. None of them can sustain the servicing of an airport.
We have Kisumu airport and it is being expanded to serve the region. We need roads in the Western region and not political handouts as asked by the KACA secretary. We do not need to seek isolation but we need to reach out to people from different regions. what a shame that we still have those chest thumbing self proclaimed leaders who spread roomers and lies just to hang on to power?
I have been watching things closely but something seems to be going wrong for some of us have quit thinking as Kenyans and resorted to village politics that have no room in Kenya or anywhere in the world. Our farmers west of the rift valley have been marginalized by poor roads and we need to focus on such issues to enable products to reach the market.
Kenya can be better with forward thinking people who see what is ailing the people. Maybe some of us are out of touch with the reality in Kenya yet we soldier on as the best that Kenya can offer. lets be in touch with people at home? by visiting or calling just to stay informed to make sense when we stand to ask honorable members a question.
Any Mc should be open minded not get selective of who gets the platform. We are a large community with diverse ideas , we do not need the same people who keep repeating the same question function after function. God's blessings will reach anybody as long as it is God's will. We do not need to boast of what we have gathered? with time. In this free land anybody has a chance to lead and be lead but if we have to be lead it should be in the right direction free from tribal elements and crooks.
