Are there good reasons why people are not ready to comply with moi's choice for a leader? What did Moi do that people do not want him to help or contribute in choosing the next president?
To the most people's opinion, there is every good reason why there is all that reluctance in people's decision.
The presidential candidates are to be responsible for their own actions. What message they carry is the message that will elect them. Our country is not doing well particularly this time. Many Kenyans have been struck by poverty, diseases, and hunger is upon us. Many educated people are jobless and no other means of earning available. People are giving up their hopes in life because of only a few politically correct people who are self interested.
People want our economy back in track. The citizens want freedom of speech, movement that they have denied for far too long. The police have been used to shut the citizens from speaking, exercising their right of movement against their code of job description. They (police) have been used to ambush in steady of protecting the rights of the citizens who pay for their uniforms, Salary, food, and guns they use.
Our Shilling is losing value day after day. Fake money was printed in the country yet we have not been told who did it, to what extent, and why? The police and CID department has not completed their investigation up to date. None has been handicapped, prosecuted or brought to justice for such evil acts of degrading our money value. The government, the party in power, the top leaders of our country did or do not seem to be shaken at all about the matter. This brings questions and concerns to the minds of millions of suffering Kenyans to demand for leaders with a reputable record that can be tracked, and that can speak for itself.
If the police department has openly and widely been known, identified, investigated and ranked number one corrupt body in the entire country, then what is left of the country's hopes on the rights of the citizens? Who then can enforce the law and order? The Police have widely been found to go off duty and on duty to robbery and gangs causing total disruption in the estates, streets, and homes of peaceful people turning into chaos when nothing is done about it. We are glad that attempts of arresting, and tracking down the activities of the officers has started, though there is a lot at stake. Every one of those misguided must be brought to justice, or prosecuted In accordance with the law of the land, and for their own actions.
The citizens wonder if those problems affecting them above will or not be addressed by the presidential candidates. The world is in a digital age when every little character is taken serious and into consideration, evaluated and put on the table without a single problem to enable the citizens understand who they are dealing with and where they are headed to. If you are running for presidency, you need to declare why you think you are the best and suited candidate for the job. You must declare your wealth, and family ties well spelled to the citizens. If your family is dysfunctional, how can you imagine that people will have you as their leader? It is more that likely that they won't. There should be standards of qualifications; maybe not legal but obviously common. Charity starts at home. This should be a simple factual concern for everyone in Kenya.
Who among the presidential candidates have declared their wealthy other than Simon Nyachae? Why is it important to for Kenyans to know a head of time on who has what before they go to the office? The simple reason remains, Kenyans have been lied to for too long by graft, and lobbyists. People who when they get in the office they, keep quiet and slowly then quickly sack the blood out of the people who elected them to the office.
The Kenya Revenue authority is one body which is not giving its clear statistics, figures and budget properly to the ministry of Finance. Either way Kenya's yearly revenue exceeds the financial year budget. If Kenyans were to ask questions about where the surplus goes, they better get satisfying explanation from the relevant authority. What has been done about it? The surplus must then be found and accounted for. If not so, then all the people and bodies involved in storing records, signing in and out must be responsibly brought to justice.
Most people of Kenya feel that Moi's tenure started so good, but ending so bad. It is a tragedy. So what are the concerns?
1. Will the presidential candidates address all Moi did or did not do for the country and to
2. What extent to which Moi and his government did it?
3. What do the candidates think was wrong or should not have been done?
4. How do they intend to change it and why they think the country will be better in their way?
In simple terms can all the presidential candidates opposed to Moi Regime point out the difference between them and that of Moi? For those who are Pro-Moi would they stand up and spell out what is remaining that the people of Kenya do not know? If Moi's records, that of his followers and his government are clean and pure, why then is the country going deep down every day? If anybody be brave enough to explain the Kenyans at layman terms, can you substantiate that?
If Kanu's machinery, methods, and plans for the country are not working after fourth some years of leadership, why should any Kanu candidate hope to change the system? No one will say that the kanu people were not given enough time to have their method, plans and vision to work out in helping the country. Only kanu has not given other people a chance to show them what they are missing and supposed to do.
We are crying to all the beloved citizens of Kenya that have votes to please leave Kanu alone. Kanu has misused your talents, energies, taxes to drunken the country. The country of Kenya is now on her knees headed to the wrong directions. We have seen the dead end and that will be the end of our beloved country should we settle for kanu.
There is hope though, Ford people has a choice with a visionary presidential candidate. He has a record that speaks for itself, from the humble clerk to the permanent secretary. In politics, He has moved from the ministry of Agriculture to the Finance ministry. What he did in either Ministry was for the people not selfish gains. He exposed the graft and lobbyists who have rundown the country. Unlike other Ministers who had been in the same position, He chose to swallow his pride for the people to know the truth. Now, Mr Nyachae is asking for your help and your nomination for presidency. If you entrust him Nyachae with the presidency he will not let you down. Nyachae will work hard to help the ailing economy, boost the security in the country, help the dying Agricultural industries in the country in the same manner he has done before in his records and better. The last things Kenya needs at this time is kanu and its leadership. Kanu is old, and tired. Therefore Kanu need some rest or break to watch and learn from it mistakes so to think and plan to do better next time.
