He, however, called for a ban on night campaigns, saying they could spark chaos. "We don’t want to block anybody from soliciting votes in Kisii, but they should be aware that the community has a belonging and their leaders should be respected," he said.
Speaking at a rally in Nyaribari-Chache in Kisii District, Nyachae said President Kibaki’s administration had boosted their welfare by creating a ministry for them. "Our youth are blindly singing change, which they don’t understand. The Kenyatta and Moi regimes ignored them, but Kibaki has given them attention," he said.
Nyachae said he had no hatred against Raila, but said he had no development record. He added that elections were not about quarrelling or calling one another names, but addressing issues affecting the people. He asked the people of Nyaribari-Chache to vote for him and Kibaki if they wanted him to have a voice in the next Government.
