In Kitutu Chache constituency four ODM parliamentary aspirants pulled out of the race citing lack of accopuntability and transparency. The aspirants Justus Mochoge, Orina Momanyi, Richard Onyonka and Osoro Kebati accused the party headquarters of colluding with the former PS Mr. James Ongwae to rig the nominations in his favour..Talking to reporters in Kisii town Momanyi said he and Kebati’s name were missing from the ballot papers and yet they had made the necessary requirements for their nominations..Momanyi warned that unless the exercise was repeated, ODM will lose terribly in the entire Gusiiland..
In Bonchari constituency, four names of ODM parliamentary aspirants were also missing from the ballot papers thus making the nomination to be called off.. The four David Ogega, John Kabesa, Tom Matagaro and Jimmy protested over the move which they said was undemocratic and vowed to block those who could be rigged in..In Nyaribari Masaba Joel Gesuka of ODM was locked out from participating in the exercise after his name was not included in the ballot papers.. Ford people parliamentary nominations in Nyaribari Masaba also flopped after candidates protested over the use fake membership cards which had been prepared by the immediate former MP Dr.Hezron Manduku.
Immediate for Bomachoge MP Joel Onyancha who is an assistant minister cried foul saying that he will not recognize the outcome because his opponent was using fake Ford people membership cards..
