Among those who have joined Ford-P are a former Kanu official Manson Oyongo Nyamweya. The others are Mr Apepo Ombasa, a former MP, Mr David Kombo, Dr Rashid Minyong’a, Mr Ezekiel Okeng’o, and Prof Kepher Marube.
Yesterday, Mr Ombasa said: “Many people think that South Mugirango is an ODM zone but the MP left the people behind when he defected to that party.” Mr Oyongo said the Kisii community should be united in one party. Meanwhile, a cross section of leaders from Borabu division in Masaba district will this Friday converge on Nyansiongo Township to pick one of their own to take on North Mugirango/Borabu MP Godfrey Masanya in the coming elections. Some 15 aspirants led by Nairobi businessman Patrick Osero said the area had never produced an MP since independence.
